"The Guys" Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

Working on this kit was such a refreshing change for me.  Not just in colors, but more so in that there are NO flowers.  Don't get me wrong . . . I like flowers.  I spend a lot of time each year making them grow in all of my flowerbeds and have exotic flowers and plants in the house.  I'm just getting tired of seeing flowers as the focal point in most of the published scrap kits.  I prefer them as an add-on rather than the main event.  But, maybe that's just me.

This kit is for "The Guys".  More specifically -- MY Guy!  My husband turns wood, carves and has even built furniture.  It's just his hobby, but some of his work is in local art galleries and he turns pieces for contractors restoring old houses.  So, do a special page for YOUR guy.   Enjoy!

New CU/PU Elements

After 25 years of designing patterns for decorative painters, I finally decided it was time that I share my designs with Digital Scrapbookers as well.  I just uploaded 6 new products to my store today.  All designs have been hand painted by me the old-fashioned way -- paint and brush -- and then digitized into 300 dpi png files.  I listed them under the Commercial Use section, but you can use them for Personal Use as well.  Hop over to my store  HERE and take a look!  You can also click each image to go to that particular page.  This is just the beginning of more to come!

"Enchanting Autumn"

Even though we've had such a wet fall this year, the colored leaves were simply beautiful, at least until a strong wind came through and now those colored leaves are more like a colored carpet on the ground :)

Quik Page Freebie

October is always a fine display of color, especially when you walk through the woods.  Even if it only lasts a short while, the beautiful leaves, mushrooms, dried out nuts and plant pods of all kinds, well...it's pure inspiration for an artist's soul!  Hmmm...who do you suppose lives behind that door?  Happy Halloween everyone!

"Scarecrow Hugs" and a Freebie!

I have been wanting to transform some of my decorative painting designs into scrapbooking elements for the longest time.  This kit is just the start!  And, of course, I designed and painted most of the elements for this kit as well.  You're going to love the scarecrows.  Designed very much like my painted wood "door huggers", these guys will hang on corners of paper or frames, on top of borders or stitches, to the sides of stacked papers.  They'll be perfectly happy wherever you put them!

For a limited time, the entire kit (alpha, papers and graffiti included) is on SALE for just $5.00 at my store HERE

"Back To Nature" Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

My ultimate "Back to Nature" adventure was my time spent in the Rain Forest.  Everything is bigger than life.  Butterflies with a 12" wing span, huge flowers, a tarantula that we named "kitty" (he was huge!), tropical birds flying above the canopy 200 feet or so above us just like Robins do here.  I loved the Howler monkeys who swung through the tops of the trees in the middle of the night.  And so much more!  It was an awesome experience that I'll never forget.

Now, onto the August Pixel Scrapper Blog Train . . . Enjoy!

Blue Skies and Lemonade

I love July.  After working outside most of May and all of June, this is when I can see the results of all the work I've done over the past month and a half.  Flowers are blooming, we've been enjoying my salad garden immensely over the past few weeks and I just picked the first of the zucchini this week.  The wildflower meadow I started a few years ago is really beginning to take shape now.  And all of my horses are so happy to be put out on the pasture again.  Hope you all have a happy 4th of July!

Yesteryear . . . The June Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

Several years ago, I set out on a journey to trace my family roots.  Thanks to Ancestry.com, the hunt for long gone relatives was made that much easier and in some cases, I was able to put a face to the family stories that were told so often over the years.  By the time I was finished, I had come to know each of those people as if I had actually known them in person.  Plenty of surprises along the way, too!  All the papers and elements you'll find in this month's blog train are perfect for scrapping older pictures as well as more current ones, with just enough steampunk thrown in to keep it interesting.  Enjoy!

May Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

Have you ever noticed that a decorated birthday cake tastes so much better than a regular every day type of cake?  In our family, we have a birthday or two to celebrate every month of the year.  That's a lot of cake -- no complaints here -- and a lot of birthday photos to scrap!  With two new granddaughters this year, that's two more birthdays for us to celebrate.  I love it.  No matter how old or how young you are, I hope your birthday this year is truly special!  Enjoy!

"Unwind" with the March Pixel Scrapper Blog Train!

Happy "Leap Day" everyone!  I had spent a month designing a new Christmas Village for my painting pattern store, so when this color scheme came up for the blog train, I went a little crazy with color!  But, it's fun and cheerful, and can be used for all those summer photos you're going to take!
So....Unwind.  Relax.  And, have a great time scrapping!

"For The Love" Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do for this blog train.  Then, while packing away Christmas, I spotted the dancing bear ornament that I had painted over 20 years ago.  Perfect!  I'm such a romantic at heart!  Also, our two new granddaughters have arrived and are positively adorable.
