I've never been a big fan of September. When I still had children at home, the house was just too quiet when they went back to school. I would go for a long ride on my black gelding, Sammy, just to escape the quiet in the house. Outside, there's a whole lot of work to do to get ready for winter. I'm not a big fan of winter either, so it's kind of like having to do something whether I want to or not. Just get 'er done. We did get the hay moved in though, so that's one big job out of the way.
The colors this month are really quite elegant. Now, if fall around here came in colors like this, maybe I wouldn't mind September so much :)

Thank you for the lovlies, and the Boo update!
ReplyDeleteGlad he's getting lots of lovin's. <3
I remembered to type my name this month, LOL! I hear you on not being a fan of school starting back up in the fall when the kids were little. I hope your granddaughter can come over after school or on weekends to do stuff with you. I just ordered a journaling Bible that will make quiet time very pleasant. I couldn't help thinking what a better job people like you and Karla Dornacher would do in the margins, but that's okay. I'll still have fun. :) Boo is such a happy kitty. Our pup likes to lay on her back for tummy rubs, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for the wonderful set!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your contributions!! And the Boo update, as always! -- Those cats sure do worm their way into our hearts.
ReplyDeleteI totally get you on what all Fall means. For me this year, it's taking on whole new meaning - my daughter is moving clear across the country and I have no idea when I'll get to see her in person again. I cry tears daily and try not to do it front of people. This mama heart is having a had time of it. Thank you for your contribution to this month's train.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gifts Diane! I too love these colors! Altho back to school looks so different for us as we have homeschooled our kids since day 1 - which is 20+ years and counting! Glad you were able to get some of the farm chores for Winter done. We still have to get the hay, then add some tin to the barn roof where it is missing, before Winter. So we are a bit behind there. Cute kitty - every time I see him I think he could be a twin brother to our LunaBelle! Thanks for sharing your talents Diane! ♥
ReplyDeleteMe too! I hate when Summer ends and school starts! I hate fall because after all the leaves fall, it is ugly outside. I really do not like winter! I love Spring, but Summer is my favorite, especially June because I have the whole summer ahead of me and it hasn't gotten to the high temperatures yet. Thank you so much for everything! Boo is such a beautiful cat!
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous bundle thank you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the delightful kit, Di, and the matching accents. Boo will be always be content to stay!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI love your Boo updates! He sounds a lot like my little girl, Jolie. She needs lots of loving and loves her belly rubs.
