I love this time of year. We put up the tree right after Thanksgiving dinner and my grandchildren, ages 3 to 14, decorated it. They really did a good job. I only had to turn one ornament around to face front. We used all of my unbreakable painted ornaments since this is Boo's first tree, and I wasn't sure how he'd take to it. As it is, he doesn't mess with the tree, doesn't even bat at the ornaments, but takes his afternoon naps under it.

Fan Freebie --
I absolutely loved the freedom of designing with some of the wild and crazy colors for the blog train, but for my Fan Freebie this month, I decided to tone it down a tad into the more traditional country colors.

The Boo Update --
Boo views the world as one big playground. He still loves his tree house from last Christmas, but his favorite pastime is playing with grocery bags. The sound of paper crinkling is just so much fun, and even better to take a nap in. Bags folded up on a chair or the kitchen counter are his, too. He has no problem choosing a bag from the stack, knocking it to the floor, somehow getting it open and then moved to the room he wants it in. Needless to say, there is a paper bag on the floor in every room of the house. My children think he's spoiled. Well...yes he is. But, I tell them this is why older people shouldn't have children :)
I had the opportunity to get all of my Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving, so as I write this, Christmas is in the bag. Ummm….so is the cat :)
Have a wonderful Christmas. I'll meet you back here January 1st!
