Although the days are getting shorter, I love the deep, rich colors of Fall.  It's sort of the last "hurrah" before it snows.  This is also the time of year that I pull out all of my pumpkin recipes -- Pumpkin Bread, Pumpkin Cookies, Pumpkin Bars and my favorite . . . Pumpkin Mini Cakes.  Yumm!  So now that I've made you all hungry, grab a cup of coffee and start downloading!

September Pixel Scrapper Blog Train -- "At The Zoo"

I was feeling a little black-n-white when I started working on this kit AND you all know I'm crazy about anything that resembles a horse, so I chose the zebra.  Here's just a little bit of trivia about these fascinating animals . . .

Zebras are black with white stripes (not the other way around).  But, if you shaved a zebra, you would find it had totally black skin underneath all the hair.  The foals are born with brown stripes that will turn black as it matures.  The most interesting fact is that their striped pattern is as unique to them as our fingerprints are to us -- no two zebra patterns are ever the same.

August Pixel Scrapper Blog Train -- "Good Vibes"

I like August.  All the flowers I planted in the spring are now in their full blooming glory.  All the tiny seeds I planted in the garden are now vegetables on our table.  The hay is in and now we can start getting the stables ready for winter, which will be here as fast as June turned into August, I'm afraid.

July Pixel Scrapper Blog Train . . . "Summer Lovin"

The vibrant colors for this month's blog train are perfect for all your summer photos.  I'd love nothing more than to be walking the LA beaches again this summer, but I'll be gardening instead and training one unruly pony.  He's a beautiful blue roan, but he's the baby of the herd and thinks he can get away with all sorts of shenanigans.  He needs to learn some manners.  Amazing what you can accomplish with horse treats, apple slices and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! :)
