February 2020 Blog Train and Fan Freebie

Royal Pears from Oregon, in the middle of winter in Wisconsin, are like a taste of heaven!  Sunshine on a plate!  Add some great Wisconsin cheese, a few crackers or homemade bread, and we can call it lunch.  You're going to have so much fun with his month's blog train.  Enjoy!

Fan Freebie

I love my kitchen almost as much as my studio.  My husband says I cook like I paint -- with an artistic flair.  Not only does the food need to taste good, it has to look good.  So does my recipe book.  It's a great big scrapbook for recipes instead of photos.  Makes cooking even that much more fun!

The Boo Update --

Boo has always loved watching running water and even playing in it when the opportunity presents itself.  Well....this has become an every morning event.  This is how he prefers his morning drink.  I wouldn't normally allow a cat on the counter, but I cut him some slack at times such as this.  I gave it some thought and realize he's not a normal cat.  I brought him in from the stables during freezing weather when he was just 3 weeks old.  He was the only surviving kitten and his mother didn't want him either.  He has never played with another kitten to learn all those essential cat-like things.  As a result, he often tries to do things more like a human than a cat.  Besides a few idiosyncrasies like this, he is the most interesting, definitely the largest, most fun cat we've ever had.  I'm just wondering if I installed a "touch" faucet so he can turn on the water himself, could he learn to touch it again to turn it off :)

My experience is that you turn the water on and then it runs all day! I have 2 cats who will drink from the faucet and if I get busy it takes a while before I get around to shutting it off. My other cat will drink out of a bowl I set in the second sink in the bathroom, no running water for him, he runs to get out of rain too! LOL Thank you so much for the update on Boo, I love reading about his antics. Also, thank you Diane for the wonderful contribution to the blog train, I always look forward to your designs. :)

Boo is so cute - just like a kitten I had when I was a child.

Thank you so much for the freebies. My cat used to love to drink the water from his paw after holding it under running water. They're so cute.

Thanks ever so much for the awesome goodies :) As for Boo ....I think he will learn just fine how to turn the water on and off but I am pretty sure that you will be turning it off your self 90% of the time.

Thanks for the kits. Maybe buy Boo a running water bowl - they do them with various settings - then you won't need to worry if he learns to turn it off or run around after him to turn off the tap.

Thank you so much for the beautiful kits! I always look forward to the Boo update.
Boo reminds me of my own black cat who unfortunately died 6 months ago and which I still miss very much. She gave me so much friendship and solace after the death of my husband. My dear Noekie I miss her.
