August 2020 Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

I loved the colors for this month's blog train.  Of course, I started with one idea and ended up going in a totally different direction.  That has happened to me so often over my 30 years of designing for decorative painting.  I don't fight it.  I just let it flow and wonderful things usually happen, except when they don't :)

Fan Freebie --

I became an avid gardener over the past 20 years since we moved to our ranch here in Wisconsin.  How could I not?  We went from a 75-day growing season to a Zone 5.  After all those years, I finally have been able to get all my flower beds planted so something is always blooming.  As we head into the final month of summer, the late bloomers and re-bloomers are showing their wonderful colors.  The Japanese Anemones are absolutely beautiful this year.

The Boo Update --

This is my "little" Boo...all 20 lbs. of him :)  But, I think this picture needs a bit of explanation.  He's laying on his back with his hind feet braced against the wall.  Then his upper body is twisted to the side slightly to brace his front feet against the cabinet.  He slept like that for about 3 hours while I was working in the kitchen.  What a character!

Scrap happy!  See you next month!

Sorry, had to laugh about Boo! Cats are known to get their bodies in all kinds of unusual positions, but that is a new one! Sometimes I envy them. He reminds me so much of all 3 of the black cats I've had.
OK, I digress there, I love the blog train contribution and fan freebie! My kids are grown now and my grandkids are older, but if I rummage through all my photos I'm sure I will be able to scrap one or more! Thank you so much for sharing it Di! Hugs, Vicki

Both kits are fabulous! Thank you so much.
Cats do find the most interesting positions and places to sleep in!

If your garden is as beautiful as the flowers in your kits, it must be extraordinary! Thanks for the beautiful kits.

I look forward to my monthly laugh on Boo's updates. 20lbs??? Ah, he has surpassed the miniature dog category and is now in the small dog bracket. I feel sorry for any dog that might want to mess with him but then again he looks so sweet. To think he once was teeny tiny. Great Cat! Thank you so much for the update and, as always, your wonderful kits.

This is adorable! I hear ya on starting in one direction and then swiftly changing. It definitely happens. Thank you for your portion of the train. Love it!

Oh, and on a side note, my cat (Flapjack) spends a good chunk of his life in this position...though generally laying on the floor. I take it as a compliment that he's completely comfortable with his life. <3
